DISADVANTAGES OF LIVING IN SOUTH KOREA

1.
RENTAL APARTMENT
Once the
landlord finds out that you are a foreigner, they might put the price pricey.
It happened many times already in South Korea. The tips are, when you are
dealing with the landlord, speak and act like you are a Korean as much as you
could. If not, your living price might be expensive.
2.
IMPORTANCE OF LANGUAGE
Living in
South Korea without knowing their language is possible but it will be SO
HARD. Most of their delivery, cab or navigation apps don’t have a
translation function. Even on Netflix, some of k-dramas will not have English subtitles.
3.
KOREAN STREET
On Korean
street, sometimes there will be random people that will approach you on the
street or in the metro. They will ask you to fill in surveys or to hang out.
You might think that they’re being nice but secretly they’re trying to recruit
you into a cult.
