FINISH THE STORY, CODY!

Wrestlemania 38, Seth “Freakin” Rollins inside the ring. “Come on! Don’t make me wait!”, said Seth. He still did not know who the mystery opponent that had been picked by Vince McMahon was. Lights go out. “Wrestling has more than one royal family”. Kingdom, Cody’s entrance music played. “The American Nightmare” pops up on the big screen. Crowds go wild. Finally after six long years, Cody has made his return to the WWE ring.

It was wholesome moments for Cody and WWE, as one of the commentator, Corey Graves said,

“ from undesirable to undeniable, the prodigal son has returned!”.

Both Seth and Cody put on a legendary match, perhaps one of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time. Cody won his first match after beating Seth in that match.

The next night, on his promo Cody has made his intention clear. One of the reasons why he made the return to WWE is to win The WWE World Champion, something that his legendary father, “The American Dream”, Dusty Rhodes.

But, it has not been an easy path for Cody. From there, he will be in a feud with Seth for a few months. But as we can expect, both of them have good chemistry together and had put three historical matches between them. 

The one that will be remembered for a long time is their final match, which is a Hell In A Cell match. Before that match, the news broke out as Cody has suffered a torn pec injury in his right shoulder. So there is a doubt whether he can participate in the match or not.

But again, both Cody and Seth put on an instant classic wrestling match. After that, Cody was missed out from the rings around 9 months, and a bit ruined his momentum in his career.

Moving on to Royal Rumble 2023, there are a lot of rumors that Cody might be returned in this Premium Live Event (PLE). Then, WWE has confirmed that has been medically cleared from the injuries and will make his return to the ring.

Everyone started using the terms “finish the story” as they all wanted to see Cody to be the person to beat The WWE Undisputed Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

As people count to number 30, finally the awaited ends. Cody is back and fully recovered from injury. But it is not easy for Cody. After a 30 minutes back and forth fight with Gunther, finally Cody managed to eliminate Gunther and won the Royal Rumble and will be fighting Roman Reigns for the Championship title in the main event of Wrestlemania.

It was time for Wrestlemania season again. The excitement was building around the match between Roman and Cody. A lot of people predicted that Roman’s historical title reign will end in the hands of Cody.

On night 1 of Wrestlemania, Roman’s cousins, Jey and Jimmy Usos lost their Undisputed Tag Team title after 600 plus days to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. 

This makes people believe that Cody will dethrone Roman to become the new Undisputed Universal Champion.

Finally, the time has come for the match. Cody makes his entrance. 80,000 plus fans in the SoFi Stadium sing along with his theme song. Then, Roman made his entrance. With a group of pianists played his theme song. Roman has been Cody's toughest opponent since his return. Does Cody finally finish his story or Roman will stand tall.

It was an instant classic match. Both of them give everything they got. Through the end of the match, the referee was destructed by Roman’s advocate, Paul Heyman. Roman’s cousin, Solo Sikoa, manages to slip into the ring and do a Samoan Spike to Cody. Cody is hurt, Roman gets momentum, hits the Spear to Cody. Referee count to three, Roman retains the title.

People were shocked with the outcome of the match. Many people thought Cody will finish the story and end the reigns, but in the end Roman is the man who stands tall.

However, this is not the end for Cody. Even Though some people have lost trust, there are still some people that believe he will become a champion.
