He was been criticize by media and football fans around the world for his decision to retire from international football in 2016 after shameful loss to Chile in the final of Copa America. He was labelled as a man that did not have a passion towards his country due to lack of achievement in his international football career compared to his performance Barcelona

This is the story on how Lionel Messi has turned from the unwanted in his hometown to the heroes of Argentina.

A few months later, he decided to return to international football and said he was loving Argentina “too much”. But then, he faced another huge loss when Argentina was getting knocked out by France in round of 16. In that tournament, he only managed to scored once against Nigeria. 

But this time, Messi decided to not give up. He continued to played for Argentina until he gets the gold. 

After three years, finally Messi get his redemption. He brings Argentina to the final of Copa America. But this time, he faces a big challenge as he facing a Host Nation and their rivalry, Brazil. And for Messi, he will be faced his best friends who also want to achieve something in the international level, Neymar JR.

Angel Di Maria was enough for Argentina to win their first major trophy since 1993 and for Messi this was his first international trophy with Argentina.

But that was not enough Messi. His main goal was to winning the world cup with Argentina. If he manages to win these, it will completing his successful career.

The biggest obstacle for Messi and Argentina who will faced full of talented young and experience players and especially a rising star who is actually Messi teammates, Kylian Mbappe.

 

As expected, both teams have given everything in the match. After 120 minutes, both teams tied 3-3. Not only that, Mbappe has made a world cup record after becoming the youngest ever player to score a hat-rick in the world cup final.

In the penalty shoot-out, Argentinian goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez has shown his quality after he managed to save two penalties from France players and made Argentina a world champion again

   Messi and his teams have brought the gold to Buenos Aires. After a heartbreaking to another heartbreaking, finally the await has end. For Messi, this winning has completed achievement in his football career.
